The recent years have witnessed some Arab and global media paying attention to Myanmar’s bloody events. Even though the media attention wasn’t enough or considering the depth of the crisis, it revealed a lot about the international situations that showed an enormous disparity between the torture and oppression faced by the Muslim Rohingya and the international reactions towards them.
This study attempts to investigate the historical roots of the crisis, clarify the roles of political and religious triggers in renewing violence against the Rohingya and discuss the international situations and reactions towards the crisis.
