In the light of a long history of how the international order reacted to democratic transition in the world, and based on more than 9 years after the Arab Spring, this study attempts to pinpoint the determinants of the international situation towards political transitions in the Islamic world and how and how to deal with them.

In this framework, the study traces the reasons why such situations towards democratic transitions are different from time to time and from place to another. It further attempts to recognize the relation between the transition pattern and the nature of international responses to it, in addition to identifying the impact of assuming power by Islamists on the international situation towards democratic transitions in the Islamic countries. Overall, the study seeks to answer a main question: what are the determinants that motivate the international order to support, accept, or resist a democratic transition process in the Islamic world?
